New York Rangers left-winger Chris Kreider was held off the scoreboard until the shootout on Sunday. Kreider took his chance and beat Jonathan Bernier to lift New York to a 4-3 shootout win. The forward played 18:13 overall, blocked a shot, and had three shots on goal. Kreider had three scoring chances in all including a couple of high-danger opportunities on the night. The winger is picking his choices better in the early going and his shot selection is paying dividends. Kreider now has 11 goals and 14 points in 15 games.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

New York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider (upper body) is a game-time decision for Friday's showdown against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has missed the last two games due to an upper-body injury but could return to action on Friday after fully participating in Thursday's practice. While Kreider has shown some improvement this month, he hasn't performed at his usual level for most of the season. In 48 games, he has recorded 17 goals and 21 points. If Kreider is not ready for game action on Friday, either Brennan Othmann or Arthur Kaliyev will have the chance to play.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider (upper body) is viewed as a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest against the New York Islanders. Kreider was a late scratch prior to Sunday's contest against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, the 33-year-old was able to participate in Tuesday's morning skate, which is a positive sign. When Kreider was scratched before Sunday's contest, Arthur Kaliyev drew into the starting lineup. If Kreider is unable to play on Tuesday, Kaliyev or Jimmy Vesey will take Kreider's spot in the lineup. Across 48 games this season, Kreider has scored just 17 goals and added four helpers. He has logged 60 hits with a poor -6 rating. If Kreider is cleared to return, he will likely return to the third unit and carry little fantasy value.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

New York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider (upper body) was a late scratch for Sunday's clash against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Kreider was on the ice for pregame warmups but was ruled out for the contest due to an upper-body injury. The veteran winger scored his 17th goal of the season in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres and has notched 21 points in 48 games during a difficult year in New York. Jimmy Vesey, who was initially set to replace Arthur Kaliyev, took Kreider's spot in the lineup. Kreider is considered day-to-day and will have his first chance to return on Tuesday in the Battle of New York against the Islanders.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider scored during Sunday's overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Kreider would find the back of the net late in the second period on a tip-in goal. Even though the 33-year-old has had a disappointing season, he is beginning to find his footing. This was his second goal in his previous two games and fourth goal over his past seven. However, during this stretch, he has only tallied one helper and is averaging just under two shots on goal per game. However, seeing Kreider continue to find his scoring touch is a positive sign for the New York offense. Through 38 games this season, the veteran has scored 15 goals (five on the power-play) and tacked on just one assist. He should continue to see time on the third line but could return to the top line if he finds his footing.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
