Chris Gittens Remains Out Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Chris Gittens (Achilles) remains out of the lineup Thursday against the Boston Red Sox. Gittens will miss his third straight game with an Achilles injury, though he is getting close to a return after appearing in Wednesday's night's game as a pinch-hitter. Rougned Odor and Tyler Wade have benefitted from Gittens' absence, as the former will make his sixth straight start with the latter in the lineup for the third consecutive contest. Odor is playing his way into consideration in season-long formats, having gone 4-for-12 with two homers, four RBI, and four runs scored over his last three games.
