Chris Evans Might Be Bengals' Third-Down Option
1 year agoAccording to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris Evans might become the team's third-down option. While Joe Mixon is still atop the depth chart, Evans has shown improvement since last season, especially as a blocker and receiver. The 25-year-old, drafted in the sixth round in 2021, has played well enough during the preseason to garner attention, especially with Trayveon Williams (ankle) on the shelf. However, Chase Brown might still have a role, meaning Evans is nothing more than a late, speculative roster add heading into the 2023-24 campaign.
