Chris Driedger Goes For Second Win Of The Season
4 years agoFlorida Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will start in goal on Thursday against Columbus. It's his second start of the season, after the 26-year-old beat the Blackhawks 5-2 with a 28-save performance on Jan. 17. With Sergei Bobrovsky struggling, Driedger had a nice run between the pipes last season to finish with a 7-2-1 record in 12 appearances. He posted a 2.05 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage with one shutout. The Jackets, who have won 14 of the last 17 meetings at home in this matchup, will counter with Elvis Merzlikins, who carries a 1-1-1 record for the season with a 3.34 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage.
