Chris Davis Working to Break Out of Slump
7 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis was given the weekend off as the Orioles faced two left-handed starters, and manager Buck Showalter wanted to give Davis some time to work with hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh. Davis has been atrocious to start the year, hitting just .167 with just two homers and six RBI. The Orioles even had Davis lead off the first five games of the season, but he only recorded one hit and was thus dropped in the lineup. Showalter said he hopes that Davis will be back in the lineup on Tuesday against the Angels, but you should keep Davis out of your lineup until he shows any signs that he's overcome his struggles.
