1 year agoChris Buescher has been one of the hottest drivers in the Cup Series with three wins and five top tens in the last seven races. He leads Ford drivers in both wins and speed, having overtaken Kevin Harvick at Bristol to become the fastest Ford driver this year with a speed percentile of 63.76%, but that only ranks 10th in the series. Since his win at Richmond, he has been the fastest driver. However, intermediates see him ranked 16th in speed despite his win at Michigan. It's unclear whether his recent uptick in speed or his mediocre season intermediate speed will better predict his Texas result but given that he and owner/teammate Brad Keselowski qualified 2nd and 3rd, the former seems more likely.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
