Chris Bassitt Tosses Solid Outing Against Cubs
5 years agoOakland Athletics starter Chris Bassitt allowed two runs on eight hits across six innings of work during Monday's 6-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs. He struck out five batters while walking two. The bullpen failed the 30-year-old, as Blake Treinen allowed four runs after replacing Bassitt in the seventh inning. Bassitt now owns a 7-5 record to go along with a 3.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 101/39 K/BB rate. He has been a reliable fantasy option heading into his next projected start against the Chicago White Sox.
