Chris Bassitt Looking To Rebound In Friday's Contest
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt is making his second start of the season Friday against Patrick Sandoval and the Los Angeles Angels. His first game of 2023 was anything but how the 34-year-old wanted to start his stint with the Jays, as he went 3.1 innings while giving up nine runs on 10 hits, with no walks or strikeouts. It's unusual for Bassitt, who owns a career 3.55 ERA, and last year pitched to a 3.42 mark with a 22.4% strikeout rate, 1.14 WHIP, and 15 wins with the New York Mets across 30 starts. With his track record, fantasy managers shouldn't be scared to start the nine-year veteran after one bad game.
