Chris Bassitt Goes Seven Strong Innings Vs Houston
4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed one run in seven innings in a no-decision vs the Astros Friday. Bassit wasn't dominant, he walked three batters against just three strikeouts, but he kept a good lineup off balance all night to finish with a productive start for fantasy owners. Bassitt has now given up one run or less in all three of his starts this season to give him a dazzling 1.08 ERA with a 2.10 FIP. Obviously, those numbers are the result of a small sample, but Bassitt has allowed just a 24.4 percent hard hit rate this season and has maintained the gains he made in strikeout rate last season. He's a fine streaming option in fantasy in his next start vs the Angels on Wednesday.
