3 years agoThe New York Mets and starting pitcher Chris Bassitt have come to an agreement on a one-year contract to avoid an arbitration hearing. The deal is worth $8.65 million in 2022 and there is a mutual option for 2023 worth $19 million, but his contract can alternatively be bought out for $150,000. Bassitt is off to a great start to his first year in a Mets jersey. Over eight starts, he's gone 4-2 with a 2.77 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
