Chris Archer Lands On Injured List With Hip Tightness
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins placed right-hander Chris Archer (hip) on the 15-day injured list with hip tightness on Tuesday. The move is retroactive to July 2. Archer was scheduled to start against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, but he was scratched from the start and Josh Winder is lined up to start in his place. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli stated that he hope is that Archer will be back before the All-Star break. Archer has made 15 starts so far this year and he's gone 2-3 with a 3.08 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. While he's done a good job of minimizing the damage against him, he hasn't been pitching very deep into his starts. He's only pitched into the fifth inning of a game on four occasions so far and has yet to see the sixth inning of a game.
