Chris Archer Exits Start Sunday With Hip Injury
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer (hip) exited his start on Sunday due to left hip tightness, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. In his first start since landing on the injured list back in April, Archer allowed one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings while striking out four against the White Sox. Topkin adds that the hip tightness was an issue that forced Archer's early exit in a rehab start at Triple-A Durham earlier this month. This is a disappointment for Archer after missing almost the entire season due to a forearm strain, and for now managers should consider him day-to-day and keep an eye out for further updates on his condition after the game.
