Chez Reavie Is A Risky Play At The Phoenix Open
3 years agoChez Reavie comes to Scottsdale on a run of very poor golf. Reavie has missed two of his first three cuts and mixed in a 70th-place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open. As expected, Reavie's iron play continues to be the lone bright spot in his game, but the rest of his game has been worse than usual. Reavie has lost strokes on the putting green in 11 straight events and has lost strokes off-the-tee in seven of his last eight. TPC Scottsdale does bring back some fond memories, though, as Reavie did finish with back-to-back top-five performances in 2018 and 2019. That being said, those top-five finishes were surrounded by five missed cuts at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Reavie is an extreme boom-or-bust option this week, with a bust outcome being much more probable.
