Chester Rogers Leads Colts Wideouts in Receptions and Yardage
6 years agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers caught eight passes for 66 yards in the team's 24-38 loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday. With No. 1 wide receiver T.Y. Hilton absent, Rogers did a great job stepping up by leading all Colts wide receivers in receptions and yardage. Unfortunately, he was also guilty of several drops including one in the end zone that resulted in him being helped to the sideline by trainers. While it is promising that quarterback Andrew Luck has now had to throw a ridiculous 121 times over his last two games, the volume is unlikely to be there for Rogers when Hilton and tight end Jack Doyle return to the lineup for the Colts tilt with the New York Jets in Week 6.
