Chaz Roe's Season Is Over
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Chaz Roe (shoulder) will have season-ending surgery on his right shoulder on Wednesday. Roe has been out since April 2 and managed to pitch in just one game before being shut down with arm issues. The 34-year-old right-handed reliever was solid for the Rays in the shortened 2020 season, going 2-0 with a 2.89 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB in 10 relief appearances covering 9 1/3 innings. Roe is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, so he might encounter somewhat of a cold market coming off serious arm surgery.
