Chasen Shreve Recovers From Last Outing
6 years agoWhile the New York Yankees bullpen has been a force that has played a major role in the club’s strong season thus far, a member of the unit has had a hard time in 2018. Left-hander Chasen Shreve, who posted a sensational 0.79 ERA in April, has been disastrous since then. Entering Tuesday’s game, he had surrendered at least one run in three of his past four outings, including a walk-off home run on the first pitch he threw Sunday in Tampa Bay. On this day, however, he would have his best outing in weeks. Shreve would toss a scoreless inning to end the game, walking one but retiring the side without damage. While not worth anything in terms of statistics, the performance could work to help his confidence moving forward.
