Chase Silseth Walks Four In Rehab Outing
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels right-hander Chase Silseth (concussion) made his second minor-league rehab start on Friday for Triple-A Salt Lake and allowed no earned runs on two hits while walking four and striking out four in 3 1/3 innings of work. Silseth was hit on the head by an errant throw on Aug. 26 before landing on the seven-day concussion injured list. His first rehab outing saw him throw 30 pitches for Salt Lake on Sept. 17, giving up two runs on three hits while walking two in just one-third of an inning. If he bounces back well after his start on Friday, he could make one more start for the Angels in the big leagues before the season is over. The 23-year-old has a 4.10 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 53 strikeouts in 15 outings (seven starts) for the Angels in 2023.
