Chase Silseth Called Up To Start Wednesday
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels right-hander Chase Silseth has been called up from Triple-A Salt Lake to make the start on Wednesday against the visiting New York Yankees. The outing will be Silseth's 10 appearance and only second start in his second year in the big leagues for the Angels. There's nothing in his profile that suggests using him as a deep-sleeper streaming option against the Yankees on Wednesday. The 23-year-old has allowed 14 runs (11 earned) on 17 hits (three homers) while walking 13 and striking out 15 in 18 2/3 innings over his nine appearances (one start), and he wasn't any better in the minor leagues. Silseth has a 6.08 ERA (5.93 FIP) with a 1.58 WHIP, 25 walks and 39 K's in 47 1/3 big-league innings.
