Chase Petty Strikes Out Four In Tuesday's Loss
50 seconds agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher prospect Chase Petty pitched well in his third appearance of the spring, but the team ultimately fell to the Dodgers 4-2 in Cactus League action. The 21-year-old went three innings, allowing one run on four hits and no walks while striking out four. The righty touched 98.9 on the radar gun, and the one run he allowed was the first of the spring over a total of seven innings. Petty is the Reds' sixth-ranked prospect and should make his MLB debut sometime this season, but has just 10 innings under his belt at Triple-A to this point in his career. The former first-round draft pick could be worth a look in NL-only and deeper leagues when he gets the call, but despite the power arm, his K/9 sits at 8.7 in the minors.
