Chase Hampton Has Tommy John Surgery
1 min agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Chase Hampton (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery on Friday. Ugh, this is a tough blow to one of the Yankees top pitching prospects. Hampton is now miss the entire 2025 season and possibly the beginning of 2026. The right-hander was drafted by the Yankees in the 6th round of the 2022 Amateur Draft. He made it all the way up to Double-A, but will now have his progress stalled for a little bit. Hampton was unlikely to pitch in New York this season, but this will certainly delay his progress. There is still a ton of potential here, so Hampton will hopefully be pitching for the Yankees in a few years.
