Chase Elliott Wins at Road America on July 4th
3 years agoChase Elliott found himself in a familiar place during a road race. He was at the front. Once the No. 9 car passed Kyle Busch on Lap 46, it was pretty much over. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver won his seventh road race in the last three seasons in a dominating performance. He won by 5.7 seconds over Christopher Bell from Joe Gibbs Racing. Though it did not hurt that two other Hendrick cars wrecked, Elliott had the best care over the final quarter of the race. Elliott led a total of 24 laps in the victory on Sunday at Road America.
