Chase Elliott Starts Fourth At Texas
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott will begin from the fourth position in Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Elliott enters TMS just outside of the cut for the championship race after Joey Logano scored the victory at Kansas. After a lull in the middle of the season, Elliott has been strong in the Cup Series playoffs, having led a significant number of laps in six of the last seven races. In nine career starts at Texas, Elliott has two top-fives and five top-10 finishes. Lately, Elliott hasn't had the best of finishing results in Texas but has solidly run inside of the top-10, on average. Elliott is one of the most expensive drivers on the DFS slate, making his selection a tough choice. He surely could continue to build off of his recent momentum, but Elliott's track record indicates that there are better lineup options this week.

Chase Elliott Will Start 15th At Darlington This Week
1 day agoChase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports will start 15th for this week's Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Elliott qualified higher than this current position only thrice during the 2025 season so far. In 16 races at Darlington in his Cup career, Elliott has 10 top-15 finishes, including four straight finishes of 12th or better in his last four appearances. With seven races completed so far during the 2025 season, Elliott has four top-10 finishes and is the only driver in the series to place in the top 20 of all races. In practice, Elliott ranked 34th in overall lap averages while displaying top-15 speeds in the 20, 25, and 30 consecutive lap average categories. Overall, Elliott is one of the more trustable drivers to compete for a top-10 finish based on track history, equipment, and practice speeds this week.

Chase Elliott's Strong Martinsville Performance Ends With A Top-Five Finish
1 week agoChase Elliott was one of the most competitive drivers for the win during Sunday's race at Martinsville Speedway. Elliott began Sunday's race from the second position and took the lead for the first time on lap 25 before a caution a couple of laps for debris. After pit stops, Elliott spent the rest of the first stage fighting for a top-10 spot and made it to eighth, scoring a few stage points. In the second stage, Elliott made it back to the lead until a lap 122 caution for Burt Myers having a mechanical failure. Elliott pitted and had to recover back to the front again, spending the rest of the stage to progress back to second and earn further stage points. For the first part of the final stage, Elliott mostly ran second behind Denny Hamlin until a slow pit stop relegated him to fourth. For the rest of the race, Elliott would neither gain or lose further positions, ending with his third consecutive Martinsville top-5 finish.

Chase Elliott Looking To Continue Great Runs At Martinsville
1 week agoChase Elliott has been one of the best at Martinsville Speedway in the Next Gen era, and he looks poised to continue that this weekend in the Cook Out 400. The No. 9 Chevrolet showed steady speed in practice on Saturday afternoon and ranked ninth-fastest in 30-lap average, and then in qualifying, Chase ended up second-fastest and will start on the outside pole alongside Christopher Bell. As mentioned before, Elliott has been strong at Martinsville over the last few years. He has led a combined 515 laps over the last six races, and has led for 54 or more laps in five of those six individual events. The only exception was the spring 2023 race, but that can be explained because he started mid-pack in 24th. This weekend, Elliott will start up front and could lead early and often. With his dominator potential as long as his race-winning upside, Chase is an excellent DFS pick on Sunday at $9,900 on DraftKings.

Chase Elliott Could Contend At Homestead
2 weeks agoIt has been 33 races since Chase Elliott won a NASCAR Cup Series race, but that could change at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. The No. 9 Chevrolet was one of the best in the field here at Homestead last fall, as NASCAR's most popular driver led 81 laps en route to a fifth-place finish. That's his third top-five result in the last eight Homestead races. And this weekend, Chase looks to have a similar No. 9 Chevrolet to work with on Sunday. During practice, Elliott struggled to put up a fast lap time, but his averages over the long run looked great--particularly in 30-lap average, where Chase ranked fifth-fastest. Priced at $9,500 on DraftKings this weekend, Elliott makes for a solid Place Differential DFS pick that potentially has race-winning upside as well. Chase is a strong option in all daily fantasy formats this weekend.
