Chase Elliott Seeking First Martinsville Win
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott will begin from the eighth position in Sunday's Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway. After a vibration forced him to make an extra stop, late in the race, Elliott finished 20th at Texas and will just about be in a win-or-go-home situation at Martinsville. Luckily for Elliott, he has run very well at the half-mile paperclip, with three top-fives and five top-10 finishes in 10 starts. The 2017 fall race put Elliott on the map, as he led over 100 laps and led late before being turned by Denny Hamlin. Since 2018, Elliott has finished in the top-10 in every Martinsville race, outside of one event where he had a mechanical issue. Elliott's DFS salary is high, but he is one of the lower selections among the high-end drivers. Elliott's track record is good, and he will have a decent upside for position differential. Look for Elliott to contend for the win and be a great selection for lineups.
