Chase Elliott Narrowly Misses Win At Indy Road Course
1 year agoChase Elliott came away with a second-place finish in the Verizon 200 at The Brickyard on Sunday afternoon, and while that is tied for the best finish that the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion has posted this year, it was a bit disappointing. That is because Elliott needs to secure a victory in order to make the playoffs this season, and he's running out of time to do so. There are now just two races left before the playoff field is set. The good news for Elliott is that there is another road course coming up next weekend with the Go Bowling at The Glen event at Watkins Glen next Sunday. Elliott is a two-time winner at Watkins Glen.
