Chase Elliott Crashes Out At Talladega, Finishes 38th
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott was a victim of a two-car accident and finished 38th in the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Elliott was running in third with 55 laps to go when Joey Logano came up in front of the No. 9, off of turn two. Brad Keselowski, who was pushing Elliott, inadvertently turned him when Logano's move stacked up the high line. Elliott tried to continue, but it was clear that there was no way the car would meet the minimum speed, and he retired moments later. Elliott wasn't as strong as he normally is on superspeedways, only leading three laps before his accident.
