Chase Edmonds Won't Play Thursday
5 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds (hamstring) will not play on Thursday night against the 49ers. This was expected all along after Edmonds was hurt in Week 8 and didn't return. He could miss multiple weeks. David Johnson (ankle) has returned to practice and has a shot to play against San Fran, but the Cardinals will likely roll with a backfield committee consisting of Johnson, newly acquired Kenyan Drake, Zach Zenner and Alfred Morris. It's a situation to avoid, even if you own Johnson. The Niners D has allowed just one rushing score all season and the third fewest fantasy points per game (11.7) to running backs. With Johnson getting healthier and with Drake now in the picture, Edmonds' fantasy peak in 2019 has come and gone.
