Chase Edmonds Will Be Game-Time Decision
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds (shoulder) will be a game-time decision in Week 5 against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Edmonds did return to practice on Friday, though, so he has a shot at suiting up on Sunday. But if he's active and less than 100 percent, James Conner could see a much bigger workload, making Edmonds a shaky low-end RB2. Conner out-carried Edmonds 18 to 12 and had two rushing touchdowns in last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams, but Edmonds had 120 rushing yards to Conner's 50. Although Conner has just 2.78 yards per carry this year, he is tied for second in the NFL with four rushing scores. He'd be a no-brainer plug-and-play option if Edmonds is inactive, with Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin backing him up.
