Chase Edmonds Has A Favorable Week 1 Matchup
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds has a favorable matchup in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. The Cardinals will head to Tennessee and face last season's fourth-worst rush defense in the league. The Titans allowed the seventh-most points to running backs last year. This is the first year in Edmonds' fourth season where he will see the majority of carries and targets, with James Conner serving as his primary backup. Last season when Kenyan Drake was out with an injury, Edmonds saw 28 touches -- 25 carries and three receptions. Although he won't see that type of volume every week, he has taken advantage of opportunities when he has seen 10-16 touches per game. On top of this matchup being favorable for Edmonds, he could be in line to see more than 15 touches per game this season. In a potentially high-scoring game, Edmonds should be considered a fringe RB2/3. DFS contestants should consider adding Edmonds in a possible shootout.
