Chase Edmonds, James Conner Will Play A Lot This Season
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running backs Chase Edmonds and James Conner are focused on working together and winning games. Edmonds said that he does not like the term "RB1," and Conner said he agrees with Edmonds. He added that they are both going to play a lot this year and make plays, so the RB1 title doesn't mean much. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said they would play to their strengths. Edmonds will have a similar role as he did last season, when he had 97 rushing attempts for 448 yards while catching 53 passes for 402 yards. However, he may see more carries and targets this season with Kenyan Drake now in Las Vegas. There could be times where Edmonds and Conner are on the field at the same time. Edmonds said that getting him in the open field and finding mismatches with linebackers is how he believes he's best utilized. Edmonds' current ADP is 70, while Conner's sits at 90. It would be ideal to draft both running backs in case of injury.
