Chase Dollander Strikes Out 10 On Tuesday
4 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitching prospect Chase Dollander struck out double-digit batters for the fourth time this season on Tuesday. This time, he tallied 10 punchouts across five shutout frames. He allowed six and just one free pass. This was a nice bounce back for the former ninth-overall selection in last year's draft, as he allowed three earned runs in each of his previous two outings. Overall, through his first season in the minor leagues, the Tennessee product has looked quite comfortable at High-A, posting a 2.82 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 26:102 BB:K ratio. The young right-hander is considered the 36th-best prospect in baseball on MLB Pipeline and is projected to reach the majors sometime in 2026.
