Chase Claypool Still Learning The Playbook
Chase Claypool, who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second-rounder at this year's trade deadline, is still learning the team's playbook. The Bears made an effort to get Claypool on the field as soon as possible and devised special packages for him to focus on right away. He saw six targets in his first game with the team, but his target share hasn't taken off from there, and he's only averaged four targets per game after his debut in Week 9. But even after five games with the Bears and the Week 14 bye to continue learning the playbook, head coach Matt Eberflus said, "I wouldn't say he's there yet." That's not a ringing endorsement for fantasy managers, and he's still developing chemistry with young quarterback Justin Fields. Claypool has averaged just 2.4 catches and 22.2 yards in five games with Chicago.
