4 years agoThis is Briscoe's first attempt at the Daytona 500. He fared well enough last year and has a couple of top-five finishes. However, this is the big show. His first forays at the duels showed his inexperience and inability to draft with the better drivers on the 2.5-mile track. Briscoe almost looked happy to be there as opposed to willing to be assertive. This will be an experience that the driver will jot down and keep in his memory banks.
