Chase Briscoe Should Be Much Better Than Normal This Weekend
1 year agoChase Briscoe's struggles haven't gone unnoticed this year. This is the third full-time season for Briscoe in the NASCAR Cup Series and he's currently averaging a career-worst 20.4 finish over the first 21 races. It has been very clear that this No. 14 team is struggling to find speed in the intermediate package this season. The good news for them, though, is that NASCAR is using the short-track package at Richmond this weekend. This season, Briscoe has been able to post finishes of 7th-place (Phoenix), 12th-place (the first Richmond race), and 10th-place (New Hampshire) while running this package. Over the last three Richmond races with this NextGen car, Briscoe has finished in 12th-, 23rd, and 11th-place. He qualified in 20th-place for Sunday's Cook Out 400 race.
