6 months agoAlthough Chase Briscoe has run well at several road courses in the past, Sonoma is not one of them. Despite finishing on the lead lap in all three of his starts, he's never led a lap and posted a best finish of 13th, best start of 15th, and average finish of 19.7 at Sonoma. He ran substantially better in 2022 than the other two years, as he spent 69 laps running inside the top 15, but when his performance collapsed the following year, he ran no better than 17th for the entire race. While his performance this year is closer to what he did in 2022 than 2023, he still only had an average running position of 14th in the 2022 race. Considering he is running slightly worse this year than in 2022 and only qualified 23rd, a top fifteen is probably the best that can be reasonably expected for him this weekend.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
