Chas McCormick Collects A Single Tuesday
8 months agoHouston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick notched just one of three hits by the team on Tuesday as part of a quiet 2-0 loss to the Miami Marlins. The 28-year-old's sixth-inning single to left field joined Jose Abreu and Corey Julks as the only Astros hitters to record a hit on the afternoon. McCormick has rather quietly been a fantastic hitter in his three-year big-league career. He hit .273 with 22 home runs and 19 stolen bases across 115 games in 2023, production that graded out 33% superior to the league average, as per his 133 wRC+. He has a .259 average with 50 homers and 27 stolen bases across 342 career games, helping him to an excellent 120 wRC+ in that time. He is a rock-solid fantasy asset as he sits in the prime years of his career.
