Charlie Morton's Start Pushed Back To Tuesday
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton will start Tuesday now instead of Sunday. MLB.com's Mark Bowman cited Morton throwing over seven innings in each of his last two starts as the reason for the switch. This is certainly a positive for fantasy managers, as Morton, who was previously scheduled to face the Cincinnati Reds, will now start against the New York Mets. The Reds have scored the sixth-most runs in the league and rank in the top 10 in wRC+ and home runs. The Mets, meanwhile, rank last in runs scored. Morton seems to have turned things around lately with a 2.38 ERA, 49 strikeouts and 12 walks in his last 41 2/3 innings. Whether you are in daily fantasy or season-long formats, start him with confidence on Tuesday.
