Charlie Morton Slated For Home Opener
7 years agoHouston Astros manager A.J. Hinch has tabbed starting pitcher Charlie Morton for the team's home opener this year. “I wanted Charlie to pitch the home opener,” Hinch said. “I think that’s something special that he’s earned." Morton was a quality fantasy starter last season, going 14-7 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 163 strikeouts in 146 2/3 innings. He won't give you a ton of innings at the back end of Houston's rotation, but he's certainly an asset in mixed leagues and should rack up wins once again.
