Charlie Morton Dominates On Tuesday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton struck out 10 batters across seven innings during a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. The 37-year-old was brilliant, allowing just three hits and two walks over 101 pitches during the quality start. The two-time All-Star is now 14-6 with a 3.39 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 213 strikeouts across 183 innings pitched. Morton lines up for one more start this season against the New York Mets on Sunday. However, the Braves could elect to have the right-hander's next start be in the playoffs. With Morton being extended through the 2022 season, he will surely be a sturdy option in redraft leagues next season.
