Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy had a huge game for the Bruins in Game 5 on Sunday. The young blueliner tallied a power play assist on Boston’s lone goal and led the team with four blocks and time on ice with 26:49. The game was easily his best of the postseason and came at a time when the Bruins needed it most, facing elimination and without Torey Krug due to injury. Unfortunately, Boston was not able to hold off the Tampa Bay Lightning and force a Game 6 that would’ve been home at TD Garden. McAvoy finishes the postseason with one goal and four assists. After just a single assist in the first round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, McAvoy made a huge improvement in round two, logging four points in five games, including his first career postseason goal. McAvoy had a good rookie season, and should definitely be targeted in dynasty leagues.--Kevin Acorn
