Charlee Soto Tosses Five Innings Of One-Hit Ball
17 seconds agoMinnesota Twins pitching prospect Charlee Soto tossed five shutout innings on Friday evening. Soto allowed just one hit and no walks. He struck out six batters. This was another impressive outing for Soto. During his first start of the campaign, Soto tossed four shutout frames and struck out five batters with just two hits allowed. After spending his entire debut season with Low-A, the 19-year-old has looked quite comfortable through his first taste of High-A action. Last summer, the Reborn Christian Academy product logged 74 innings with Low-A Fort Myers and held a high 5.23 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. During this stint, he tallied 87 punchouts with 33 walks. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his development, but it appears Soto is taking a significant step forward with High-A. He could push for a late-season taste of Double-A.
