6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers general manager Tom Telesco isn't ruling out potentially re-signing tight end Antonio Gates in the wake of Hunter Henry's (knee) ACL tear. "We'll look at all the options that are out there," Telesco said. Virgil Green is currently the Chargers top tight end with Henry out for the year, but Green is more of a blocker than a pass catcher. LA will surely add another tight end body, and the aging Gates might be their best bet. Although he has declined big time in recent seasons, he's still a big body that has chemistry with quarterback Philip Rivers. However, Gates has lost a step or three and would be nothing more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
