2 days agoSeattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. He suffered an undisclosed injury in Wednesday's matchup against the Minnesota Wild, and the team plans to evaluate him further when Seattle finishes its current road trip. This suggests that Stephenson will also miss Tuesday's clash against the Calgary Flames. Tye Kartye is projected to replace Stephenson in the lineup, while Shane Wright could land himself a spot on the second line. Wright has been quiet lately, but a top-six job is sure to boost his fantasy value. The 21-year-old centerman has amassed 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists) in 67 games this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 days agoSeattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (undisclosed) was unable to finish Wednesday's contest against the Minnesota Wild. Stephenson logged just over 11 minutes of ice time before exiting and did not participate during the third period. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. Before exiting, Stephenson tallied one shot on goal and did not get on the scoresheet. However, Stephenson carried a six-game point streak into Wednesday's tilt. During this stretch, Stephenson tallied seven points (six helpers) and added four hits and eight blocked shots. Through 69 games, Stephenson has scored just 11 goals but added 37 assists. If he were to miss time, Jared McCann will likely move up to the second offensive line.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoSeattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's meeting with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 30-year-old was hurt in Thursday's 3-0 defeat to the Washington Capitals. Stephenson is facing an injury setback during a prolific stretch, having scored three goals in his last four games and averaging a point per game over that span. Jared McCann (undisclosed) is also a game-time decision for Saturday, which means Seattle may have to face Sidney Crosby and his gang without two of its top three scorers. As a result, Shane Wright could land a top-six spot, while Eeli Tolvanen might also move up in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoAccording to Curtis Crabtree of FOX13 Seattle, Seattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (undisclosed) exited Thursday's contest early. Head coach Dan Bylsma did not have an update on his status during the postgame interview and noted that the 30-year-old would go for further evaluation. Stephenson exited the contest in the second frame. Before leaving, he logged one blocked shot and did not get on the scoresheet. If he were to miss time, Jared McCann or Shane Wright would likely be moved up to the second line, and Tye Kartye would draw into the starting lineup. Entering Thursday, Stephenson tallied 10 points over his last 10 games. During this span, he scored five goals and added five helpers, with one of them coming on the power-play.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

4 months agoSeattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (illness) will be back in the lineup on Tuesday against Carolina. He missed Saturday's 4-2 loss to San Jose due to an illness. Stephenson is among the Kraken's top scorers with 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) in 24 games. He will center the second line, flanked by Jared McCann and Brandon Tanev. Andre Burakovsky and Daniel Sprong will be scratched for Tuesday's action. Burakovsky went scoreless in 11 of 14 appearances last month and hasn't done much all season, posting nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 25 games. Sprong has recorded one goal with a minus-two rating in six appearances since rejoining the team from Vancouver on Nov. 8.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
