Chandler Redmond Promoted To Triple-A
3 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals first base prospect Chandler Redmond was promoted to Triple-A Memphis, going 1-for-3 with a walk in his debut on Wednesday. Despite hitting 31 home runs and collecting 92 RBI last season at Double-A, Redmond began this season at Double-A. Even though the 27-year-old was slashing .231/.325/.354 with just nine home runs in 83 games, the Cardinals promoted him for his first taste of Triple-A pitching. Known for hitting for the home run cycle during his 2023 season, Redmond has had high strikeout rates throughout his minor league career that have perhaps held him back, but he'll get a shot to prove himself at the top level of the minors. As for fantasy. he's a name to keep in the back of your head in the event his power stroke earns him a promotion to the big leagues at some point next season.
