Chance Adams Recalled By Yankees
6 years agoIn the aftermath of closer Aroldis Chapman being placed on the 10-day disabled list, New York Yankees right-hander Chance Adams has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 24-year-old made his major league debut earlier this season, starting in Boston against the Red Sox as a result of J.A. Happ’s DL stint. Adams was respectable, going five innings and allowing three runs on three hits. Moving forward, with the Yankees rotation intact, Adams figures to be a reliever during his time in the majors. The Arizona native has struggled in Triple-A recently, having surrendered 10 runs in his last two appearances.
