Chad Pinder To Occupy Super Utility Role
4 years agoOakland Athletics infielder Chad Pinder is again slated to be a "super-utility player" for the team this season, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Pinder's versatility makes him a very valuable player for the A's, but less so in fantasy, even if he finds himself starting four or five games per week. Non-starters can have fantasy value, but the 29-year-old Pinder is more known for his defensive abilities rather than his bat. He did slug between 13 and 15 homers per season from 2017-2019, but they came with a sub-.260 batting average. Throw in only two career steals and Pinder isn't a player to prioritize in fantasy.
