Chad O'Shea Expected To Become Dolphins Offensive Coordinator
6 years agoNew England Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O'Shea is the favorite to be hired as the Miami Dolphins next offensive coordinator, according to a league source. Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores is expected to become Miami's next head coach, but nothing can become official until after the Super Bowl. Flores has worked with O'Shea in New England since 2009, and O'Shea is considered an up-and-coming offensive mind. He'd have his work cut out for him in Miami, as they finished 31st on offense last year by averaging just 289.9 yards per game, the lowest in franchise history. The Dolphins also ranked 26th in scoring at 19.9 points per game. The biggest question is whether they will keep quarterback Ryan Tannehill around.
