1 year agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Chad Green (elbow, head), who is working his way back from Tommy John surgery in May of 2022, was hit in the head by a throw from his catcher in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo on Aug. 8. He cleared the concussion protocol and returned to the mound on Aug. 16. Green is finally reaching the final days of a long rehab process. He was scheduled to pitch on back-to-back days over the weekend before being activated from the injured list on Sept. 1, at the latest. The 32-year-old will be making his 2023 debut when he gets into a game for the Blue Jays and will give Toronto some more bullpen depth down the stretch as they attempt to get into the postseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
