Chad Green Picks Up Second Save
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green notched his second save of the season in Thursday's 5-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. With Aroldis Chapman (illness) unavailable due to an illness, Green got the save opportunity and worked a 1-2-3 ninth on 14 pitches. The 30-year-old lowered his season ERA to 2.16 along with a 22:3 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Green leads the Yankees with seven holds and is tied for second with two saves, making him an excellent player to roster in formats that count both statistics.
