Chad Green Leaves Rehab Game With Head Injury
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Chad Green (elbow, head) was in the middle of a rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo before getting hit in the head from a throw, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. He left the game under his own power, but he's day-to-day for now. Green has been on the injured list all season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last year. Over his seven-year career, the right-hander owns a 3.17 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 32.5% strikeout rate with 11 saves. It's unclear what role the club uses Green in, but there's a chance he can pitch in some-high leverage situations, giving him some value in hold leagues when he eventually returns to the big leagues.
