Chad Green Earns Second Save Of Season Monday
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green picked up his second save of the season in Monday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays. Green came in to pitch the ninth inning up by a run and shut the door, pitching a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. The 30-year-old has now converted two of four save opportunities with a win, two holds, and a 3.48 ERA this season. He is second on the team in save opportunities but is clearly being Aroldis Chapman, who has seen six save opportunities and picked up saves in the team's previous two games. As such, Green holds limited fantasy value at this time except perhaps in deeper roto leagues.
